Architecture, com-arts

I like how clean and minimal this site is, it shows off the architecture first and foremost and then slightly accents it. For example in this photo you see the round cushioned chair, when moused over there is a round little info pop up.

mickey mottes

http://www.mikimottes.com/
Ive been seriously impressed by this guy for a while now for his illustration, animation and webdesign. His webportfolio combines and shows off all three of these things together in his own style. I forget where I originally found him but Ive been watching his page for updates and changes. To combine all three of his talents in the way he does is not easy, even if his site isnt 100% serious and a little fun.

The wilderness downtown

The wilderness downtown
This site is VERY processor intensive and experimental but if you have the resources to run it you should. I found this flipping through a magazine (not a very good one) at the grociery store but it was PC today or something. Its basically a music video that uses google earth, multiple windows and an embedded drawing program that turns your drawings or type into tree limbs. Very interactive.

Marc Ecko

Marc Ecko
You really need to see this site, and just play with it for a while, the code must be rediculous but it makes the Gallery HIGHLY interactive. At first you wont notice everything but then you start to realize sharp mouse movements move the gallery, among other things. One of my favorites so far.

Childrens Dentist com arts webpick

Dentist site
http://www.pediatricdentistryoc.com/
This site is so cool it was done by Solid Giant design agency. It reminds me of when I would go to the dentist as a kid with my whole family and while we waited they had all kinds of books and hand held games to keep us from wreaking havoc on the office. If the business is anything like their webpage they know you HAVE to entertain the kids. Even all the type is entertaining.

David Carson

http://www.davidcarsondesign.com/

This is David Carson's Website. He is an unconvential designer and this portfolio site reflects that well. He has stationary navigation and a side bar. The page above the fold is very collage feeling and things under the fold follow more of a blog or facebook style to display some of his work. If I remember correctly he is very well known and self taught.
